You might have seen my title as a Confidence and Personal Growth coach and figured I was always this way… but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. It took me a long time to get to a place of not only having self-acceptance for myself but actually having love and grace for who I am.
I come from a family where anxiety and depression are prevalent in all of us. My depression started at the young age of eleven and spiraled into poor self-esteem, weight gain, social anxiety, and extreme loneliness in my early 20’s.
Then in 2015, my brother Chris committed suicide, and everything changed.
I found myself seeking out exercise and movement which was a far cry from the girl who would ditch P.E. in high school. Exercising went from being a chore and something I ONLY did to lose weight to my therapy.
Just like you, I have experienced struggle, both internally and externally. I now know my internal struggle of doubt and self-sabotage was what was holding me back from the person I wanted to be.
For a period of time, I thought that my life would always be that way because that was the narrative I was writing for myself. My story is meant to inspire you and open your eyes to the fact that where you are now, doesn’t have to be where you’re headed.
Hey! I'm Lauren

Through movement, I began putting things into perspective and gained clarity on my purpose. Once I made exercise a consistent part of my life, it was proof that I could do anything and it was the catalyst for creating change in other aspects of my life. I was inspired to start teaching group fitness classes part-time and discovered that helping others on their fitness journey lit my soul on fire.
Shortly after becoming a fitness instructor, I decided to quit my full-time career as an elementary school teacher, giving up my salary and benefits, to pursue a different path.
It was uncomfortable and difficult as I continued to carry the financial obligation of $50,000 worth of student loan debt, but I knew I needed to make a drastic change in order to live the life I envisioned. I had to let go of what I thought failure meant and step into my power.
Along the way, and through life’s obstacles, I became a mom and followed my gut in helping other women realize their worth, not just in the fitness world, but in other ways. I am the host of a self-growth podcast called “Become Your Vision” and I organize women’s conferences and meetups.

Where you are now doesn’t have to be where you’re headed.
Become your Vision.
